The "SPC Mathew Taylor Organization" was started in memory of SPC Mathew Taylor, who died September 26, 2007. Mathew passed away from injuries he received from an IED attack on July 23, 2007 in Afghanistan.

My name is Heather and I am Mathew’s older sister. My mother and I wanted to keep the memory of Mathew alive so we started this organization. We could not think of a better way to honor Mathew than to help other families that are in the same situation that we encountered when Mathew was injured.
